Love #AskHerMore Red Carpet Qs
I am glad major Hollywood stars are jumping on the recent #AskHerMore campaign. Many of us ordinary women have been (in our own way) working on changing how women are viewed, talked about and depicted in the media. When I was growing up there were very few female role models I could relate to.
Some five years ago, the idea for a show to empower Latinas came to me during a taping on a set of a movie I co-produced. So I rolled forward. Needless to say, it has not been easy. The communities I thought would support my venture, have only left me disappointed.
But I’ve never given up and I’ve reinvented my business. There have been many lessons learned and now I can sigh of relief that I feel more empowered, supported and appreciated by many online communities who share my same passion.
It is our responsibility to create change and it starts with us.
Meanwhile, if you can support this documentary go for it.
